BARTONVILLE, Ill. — Bertha Hadley, 88, formerly of Bartonville and Hillsboro, died at 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2000 in Pekin Living and Rehabilitation Center, Pekin, where she was a resident. She was born April 1, 1911 in Waynetown, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle Alward Davis. She married Charles Hadley Aug. 30, 1928 in Danville, Ill. He preceded in death April 17, 1989 in Peoria, Ill. She was a former member of the Christian Church of Kingman. Survivors include: a daughter, Melissa Seighman, Grantville, Pa.; a sister, Eva Morgan, Crawfordsville; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Sue Helmick, Aug. 15, 1999 and Beverly Hamilton in 1997; two sons, Bobbie Hadley in 1970 and Bill Hadley, Oct. 27, 1991; a granddaughter; a sister and a brother. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, Bartonville, Ill. with the Rev. Jack Thompson officiating. Burial was in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Peoria, Ill. Memorials may be made to any charity. – jlr
